Following on from our 1-0 defeat against Wilkinsons at the back end of 2023, Loxdale football team bounced back in some chilly conditions on Monday afternoon as we played Lanesfield Primary School in a well-competed game. After a slow start into the game, Loxdale grew with confidence after going 1-0 up inside 12 minutes and played some very nice football which was met by a fast and attacking Lanesfield squad. Just before halftime, Lanesfield scored a perfectly taken chance on the counter-attack to make it 1-1. With this, our half time team talk was all about moving the ball around better and making use of the big spaces on our pitch. We then started strong second-half scoring to make it 2-1 to Loxdale, from then we the resilience and determination to get more goals were immensely high. We played really well as a whole unit with everyone working hard winning the game 5-2. Well done to all our Loxdale Football Team 👏🙌
