Year 5 Cedar had a fantastic day at 'The Black Country Living Museum'. As part of their learning about the Victorian era, the children were able to go back in time and experience what life was like in the 1800's. Despite the bad weather, the children really enjoyed listening to stories and facts about the real owners of various properties, what a shilling was and how they managed to survive without the technology we have today! The children were surprised at how hard Victorian children had to work and how they were entertained by a simple thing like a skipping rope. The children also enjoyed a black and white silent film in the cinema featuring Charlie Chaplin. 🎞🎪🎓📗
